Obscura Dramatica’s first-ever drama podcast is our shining star of drama and performance.
Our performers are a multi-national collection of actors who have gathered to present you with the best flavor for your ears.
Riley Allen (Actor) is a voice-over artist with a well-modulated, deep, expressive voice. Strawberry blond hair, green eyes – strong frame, suited to quiet, thoughtful, and authoritative roles, as well as fantasy and mythic drama.
David Bareford (Founder, Playwright, Director, Actor) is a playwright, theatrical violence designer, and director. He is the Resident Playwright of Love Street Playhouse in Woodland, Washington but he is also a proud ex-patriate of Chicago professional theatre and his work has been seen across the country. His plays span many genres and styles, but nearly always include some historical element–even in his time at Northwestern College he was a double major in Theatre and History. He is the co-author of Theatrical Violence Design: Safety, Illusion, and Story in Stage Combat Choreography, a definitive work on the creation of theatrical violence for the stage, published by Routledge Press. He is also a professional American Sign Language interpreter for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and on the rare times when he’s not working, he can be found in his woodshop, crafting furniture using traditional hand tools.
Roger Bazinet (Actor, Producer) has been a jester, jouster, juggler, and joker. He is a veteran of voice acting, voiceovers, stage combat, stuntwork, college radio, and theater in the round. After years away from theatre, he is reemerging from his torpor to provide colorful voices for characters in Obscura Dramatica productions.
Andi Bishop (Actor) (they/them) is a Chicago-based performer and voiceover artist who is thrilled to be a part of Borrowed Lives. Their voice can frequently be heard as a guest artist on the paranormal storytelling podcast Shadow Carriers. Andi is also an audiobook narrator, with eight (and counting!) books of multiple genres currently available on Audible.
Ryan Bond (Actor) is a versatile voice actor and producer with experience in radio ads, educational videos, podcasts, audiobooks, public storytelling, and interactive media. Ryan has voiced characters in several audio dramas, including Our Fair City, Shadow Carriers, Gateways Podcast Stories, Out of the Ashes, and To Starlight We Come. He has also produced and voiced characters in Encyclopedia Britannica’s Alexa/Google voice experience Guardians of History. With 50+ podcast appearances, Ryan is a seasoned voice actor with a passion for audio storytelling. In addition to podcast appearances, Ryan is a continually active stage actor with a wide range of experience in dramatic and musical theatre productions.
Amanda Caraway (Playwright, Actor, Marketing Director) is a professional writer, marketing specialist, and playwright. Her play Monologues from a Movement was produced at The Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival in 2022, and Tent Girl was produced by Wasatch Theatre Company in 2022. A staged reading of her play Slummin’ It in Wine Country was produced by Starbird Theatre Company in 2024. Amanda also served as a co-host of the #StillHere Podcast, which is focused on sharing inspiring survivor stories. After taking a break from acting for way too long, Amanda is thrilled to join the cast of Barrowed Lives.
Lexy Dillon (Actor) has been active in community theater for over 70 years. She started playing Princesses and witches in the local Children’s Theater Program. Her favorite roles as an adult include Penny in You Can’t Take it with You, Martha in Arsenic and Old Lace, Amanda in Private Lives, and Ethel in On Golden Pond. When not acting on stage she may be found backstage as a stage manager.
Sarah Feeley (Actor) is a voice actor from Melbourne, Australia, who specialises in bringing diverse accents to her roles. She works across multiple genres, though she particularly enjoys classic and modern fantasy. When not voice acting, Sarah plays tabletop roleplaying games where she loves creating characters through intricate voice acting, writing detailed backstories, and handcrafting costumes for character cosplay. She displays these passions in guest appearances in tabletop game live streams like “Let’s Roll for Dragons”.
Jack Harvison (Actor) is an emerging actor out of southwest Washington, his recent credits include Nick in The Great Gatsby: A Live Radio Play (Starbird Theatre), and Johnny/Parris in Live in 3, 2, 1… (Love Street Playhouse), Jesus in JC: Gospel According to an Angel (Triangle Productions). A former software engineer, Jack left tech to pursue his passion for performance. Offstage, he enjoys playing music, painting, and watching movies. He gives thanks to his family for their unwavering support, and to the stories and those who tell them.
Kristen G. Johnson (Actor) is delighted to be a part of the Borrowed Lives Podcast. She has enjoyed being a part of the local community theater, mostly at Love Street Playhouse. Her most recent roles have been Shelby Thorpe in The Spitfire Grill, Sherlock Holmes in Miss Holmes, and Patsy Cline in Always, Patsy Cline. Other favorite roles include Miss Tweed in Something’s Afoot, Corie in Barefoot in the Park, and Cinderella in Into the Woods. When not on stage, Kristen writes The Starcluck Adventures series for kids under the name Kristen Gwen, and she enjoys traveling and hiking the trails of the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her family.
Kellen Kirkham (Actor) is a voiceover artist who has worked on animated series and audio productions. He is training in film and television, and has a lifetime of experience using his voice as an instrument and/or noise-maker. He is based in Portland, OR, where he alternates between looking at the mountains and his cat Mochi.
Brenda McGinnis (Actor, Director) has a passion for life that permeates all of her work from stage acting and directing to film, podcasts, and audiobooks. Brenda feels most like herself when she is bringing truth to imaginary characters. She brings raw instinct and playfulness to her work while drawing on over 20 years of experience. She is a mother of 6 and grandmother of 12. When she is not busy being Mom or MomMom, she loves spinning stories in her sound booth.
Peter Nye (Actor) is an actor, musician, video editor, and the founder of Peter Nye Creations LLC. With a versatile creative background, he brings stories to life on screen, stage, and in sound. Whether it’s performing, composing original music, or shaping projects in post-production, Peter combines artistry and technical expertise to deliver compelling work across multiple mediums.
Lauren Rogers (Actor) is an artist from the Portland Metro Area, where she is currently working as a choreographer for children’s theater. As a young girl, listening to radio theater was her favorite pastime, and she often dreamed of what it might be like to be one of the actors behind the mic. After a decade of performing on stage, she is thrilled and honored to make her voice-acting debut in Obscura Dramatica’s Borrowed Lives.
Fawzy Simon (Producer, Sound Engineer, Actor, Legal Counsel) Fawzy and playwright/director David Bareford have known each other since the mid-1980s (longer than we’ve known our WIVES) and have collaborated on at least 15 shows, going back as far as 1987. His previous sound design work took him to In The Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Workshop, InitialStage, Theatre in the Round, and The Refreshment Committee, all in Minneapolis/St. Paul. Fawzy also designed sound for David’s last two plays at Love Street Playhouse (Seeking Mr. Hyde and Live in 3, 2, 1) in Woodland, WA. In addition to mixing and editing Borrowed Lives, Fawzy voices the role of Kingston. Fawzy lives and practices criminal defense law near the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri with his wife, Penny, and their spoiled cat.
Star (Actor) is a technology professional and a hobbyist, with little experience in the arts, but always looking to try new things.
John Viinalass (Actor) has performed in churches and community theater programs since before he could read, beginning at his uncle’s wedding reception at age 3. He was the producer and co-host of The Narrow Pod Between Pages podcast, and is currently the host of the Two Geek Soup podcast. He is usually less grouchy than Mordaunt.
Brad Wadle (Actor) is a lapsed actor who is excited to be shaking off some cobwebs and joining Borrowed Lives. He is based in Chicago, where he has crossed blades with David more than once, and has been on stage as far away as Germany. In his non-theatrical life, Brad works in education (previously as a high school teacher and speech coach, currently with a university teacher preparation program). He’s also been doing kung fu for nearly 30 years– a skill that probably doesn’t translate overly well to podcasts.
William L. Walker (Actor) is a passionate and seasoned theater artist with over 30 years of experience both onstage and behind the scenes. His versatile background encompasses acting, directing, designing, and producing, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the theatrical world. After decades of immersion in the craft, William has recently discovered a deep passion for playwriting, seeking to create stories that resonate with both audiences and fellow artists. He is currently excited to be working with the incredibly talented team at Obscura Dramatica, where he looks forward to collaborating on innovative and thought-provoking productions. William is eager to continue growing in his creative journey, inspired by the dynamic possibilities that theater offers.
